How to uninstall MySQL 5.1 on Snow Leopard

I installed MySQL 5.1 and then decided I didn't want it.
So I deleted it from /usr/local and tried to install 5.0. No dice, the installer complained.
I deleted these files, and was able to install afterwards:
sudo rm -rf /var/db/receipts/com.mysql.mysql*
